So, what IS in your Mother Clucker???

It is truly an intriguing question because I have found that the contents of a woman's bag, along with the bag itself give interesting insight into the woman who is carrying it. In my years of selling Mother Cluckers I have found that women have very specific ideas about their bags: Big enough for most of their worldly possessions or barely big enough for the bare essentials? Pocket Fanatic or Dumper? Zipper or snap? Leather or fabric? Functional or fabulous? Black, or not?

So, by looking at the Mother Clucker, the inaugural handbag from HenJen Handbags, it is pretty obvious what my preferences in a bag are because, well, there they are! I am pretty much Goldilocks when it comes to the size issue. I tried bigger and it was too big, I tried a little smaller and it was too small. Finally, I settled on the Mother Clucker as it is today and it was, well, you know. I have also identified myself as a "Dumper" which means that I like very few pockets because I forget WHAT is in WHICH pocket. OOSM--Out of sight, out of mind is pretty much the dilemma that I face in the pocket department, and really the rest of my life, truth be told. Here is where the key fob comes in because when you are a Dumper you end up with gunk under your fingernails when you root around in the bottom of your bag. Solved!

Then there is the CLOSURE ISSUE. Oh yes, this is a biggie. The Mother Clucker has been rejected by my OWN sister because it does not have a zipper. You see, she loses things. I, on the other hand, cannot stand a zipper because it makes access waaaaay too difficult. I usually only have one hand free and it is very difficult to unzipper a zipper with only one hand. Unfettered access, that is what I need. The magnetic snap keeps it closed JUST enough so that when it falls off the car seat, most of the stuff stays in. 'Nuf said.

A handbag's appearance is important to some more than others. Some women will sacrifice style for functionality and some would rather be shot. I have met women who have never owned a handbag in any color other than black. NEVER. For them, the Mother Clucker is a bold step. Of course the beauty of the Mother Clucker is that it is that rare combination of functional AND fabulous. Funky bold patterns and a clear shiny vinyl covering make it fun to carry and okay to put down on the bathroom floor at Target. You see, you can wipe the bottom later before you plop it on your kitchen table.

So, we know a lot about a woman who chooses to carry a Mother Clucker just by that decision alone, but we can learn even more about her by what she's got in there. That is what this blog is going to be dedicated to--meeting the proud owners of Mother Cluckers all over the country and find out
"What's in YOUR Mother Clucker?"
